Primary Purpose:
I. Organizational Relation: The Technology Student Worker is accountable to and works closely with the Systems Administrator and/or Director of Technology to determine work priorities.
II. Primary function: To prepare and deploy computing devices for the upcoming school year. Maintain the Technology Department workshop and campus MDF/IDF rooms.
III. Responsibilities:
- Collect and move returned devices to centralized storage areas
- Sort and arrange devices as necessary
- Diagnose, repair, refresh, clean, and tag devices for redeployment
- Unpack, configure, tag, and deploy new devices (refresh for obsolescence)
- Maintain a spreadsheet of assets
- Move, reconnect, and test computers reassigned to new locations
- Diagnose, test, and replace failed computer components
- Participate in annual auditing of district technology assets
- Clean and organize the shop and MDF/IDF rooms throughout the district
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum job qualifications:
- Floresville High School Student
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Must be able to present acceptable identification documents for employment verification eligibility purposes
- Reliable transportation preferred
Time requirements:
Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (up to 36 hours per week available)
- Specific shift schedule negotiable
June 3rd – August 4th (negotiable)
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Equipment Used:
Computers, Networks, Phones, Printers, Tablets, and Copiers. Hand tools and test instruments for electronic repairs and cable installations. Vacuum cleaner.

Climbing, stooping, bending, & kneeling. Frequent use of hand tools and electronic testing equipment. Frequent district wide travel. Maintain emotional control under stress. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours.
